PETALS Downrange is a portable and lightweight device that provides visual decision support during dismounted operations with a handheld sensor. PETALS Downrange is quick to set up and is designed to operate non-intrusively in the background during search and investigation procedures. It is designed to maximize operator safety by producing visual patterns that help approximate the location of target centers. The shape and size differences between visual patterns also support the discrimination of explosive devices from clutter (read the research). PETALS Downrange can also transmit data to to enable collaborative decision-support

Features
  • Compatibility across a variety of sensor models
  • Lightweight design to minimize equipment burden
  • 3 hours uninterrupted operation time
  • Anti-glare screen for all day use
  • Weather resistant for use in challenging outdoor environments
  • Data logging and transmission for collaboration
PETALS Training monitors, records, and visualizes operator detector investigation activity during training. A trainer can use this device to monitor up to four trainees simultaneously, to quickly detect and correct mistakes in investigation technique, and to record trainee performance for post-practice evaluation and analysis. VaST Training can improve trainee skill retention by increasing trainer awareness and by providing a visual medium for supporting instruction

Features
  • Monitors up to 4 training lanes
  • Storage of trainee data and performance activity
  • 12 hours uninterrupted operation time
  • Anti-glare screen for all day use
  • Weather resistant for use in challenging outdoor environments
  • Designed to monitor US military standard training lanes
